The Act provides that state or district authorities will organise Lok Adalats from time to time at convenient places and the Adalats will exercise such jurisdiction in that area as the state or district authorities confer upon them . अधिनियम में ये उपबंध है कि राज़्य या जिले के प्राधिकारी समय समय पर सुविधाजनक स्थानों पर लोक अदालतों का गठन करेंगे जिन्हें राज़्य अथवा जिला प्राधिकारियों द्वारा प्रदत्त अधिकारिता होगी .
